Head on down to the Media Production Center to learn how to use the听lighting grid, and CAGE equipment such as the jib, slider, and doorway dolly. Build sets with Larry Engle, Kylos Brannon, Geoff Turner and your peers.
Join the School of Communication for a conversation with PhD alum听Brian Hughes (PERIL) and Professor Adrienne Massanari (SOC/AU Game Lab) on politics, platforms, and play. Massanari will discuss her new book, Gaming Democracy, which examines how far-right activists exploit social media. Learn about the influence of 鈥渁lt-right鈥 ideologies on online spaces, Silicon Valley's role in fostering toxic environments, and how far-right groups use memes and 鈥渕etagaming鈥 to build community and incite dissent. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the intersections of internet culture, gaming, and political activism.听

Please join the School of Communications, the Kennedy Political Union, College Democrats at AU, College Republicans at AU,听and the 艾可直播 Forum on October 17th, 2024, for a rewarding discussion with Senior Political Correspondent at Puck & Host of the Ringer's "Somebody's Gotta Win,"听Tara Palmeri, moderated by SOC Professor Jane Hall. The event will take place in the Malsi Doyle and Michael Forman Theater within the McKinley Building, and doors will open promptly at 6:30 PM. This event is only open to 艾可直播 University community members, and a current 艾可直播 University ID is required for admission.
